CBD Oil is gaining popularity as a medicinal and health supplement. If you want to receive a CBD prescription in Australia or other medical cannabis goods, you need to know what you’re getting to make an informed and safe decision. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of two widely recognised compounds in the cannabis plant (THC). Whereas THC is most known for its psychoactive features, CBD is non-psychoactive and is better renowned for its medicinal properties, which include:

  • non-intoxicating
  • analgesic anti-inflammatory
  • anti-anxiety
  • anti-spasmodic
  • anti-epileptic
  • anti-psychotic

CBD can aid in the treatment of symptoms in patients suffering from illnesses such as:

  • Epilepsy
  • Inflammation
  • Insomnia
  • Depression & Anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Chronic pain and illness

What Exactly Is CBD?

The naturally occurring ingredient is an oil made by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant and combining it with a carrier oil. As a result, it has gotten much press in the medical community and has become an essential aspect of medicinal marijuana treatment.

Is It Legal To Buy CBD Oil In Australia?

Since 2016, CBD oil has been legal in Australia. On the other hand, CBD is categorised as a schedule 4 drugs, which means you may only buy it legally through a doctor’s prescription completed at a pharmacy. In addition, since most CBD products are not listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, clinicians must submit a Special Access Scheme (SAS) application to the TGA for each patient. Approval is generally granted for 12 months.

In Australia, How Much Does CBD Oil Cost?

The cost of CBD oil is determined by the dosage, which varies from person to person. The first stage is to start with a small dose and gradually raise it to determine the proper dosing for each person. The majority of people spend between $4 and $10 per day on CBD oil.

Is It Possible To Receive CBD Oil From Your Doctor?

CBD oil can be prescribed by most GP’s and specialists in most Australian jurisdictions. They will, however, have to apply under the unique access scheme.

Your doctor can refer you to our clinic if they are reluctant to apply on your behalf or are uneasy prescribing medical Cannabis. We offer virtual consultations throughout Australia and in-person consultations at our leading clinic in Sydney.

That’s always a smart option to get help from your healthcare professional or your general practitioner first. However, you may be eligible for a CBD prescription in Australia if you need help identifying doctors or clinics that can provide you with more details.
